GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
Gary Tischer introduced Gary Longley of Pacific Raceways to address the membership on ideas and ways that they can participate in events and activities that make up Pacific Raceways and it’s operation. Gary talked to the membership about “growing up in a junkyard” and how he became responsible for Pacific’s marketing efforts and his relationship with Gary Tischer.  General drag racing costs $40/car to participate and any car under 14 seconds requires the driver to ware a crash helment. Pacific Raceways also puts on car shows and anyone can bring a car and attend.  Gary suggested that our members might be interested in their Car Club Challenge activity, which involves 3 meets at Pacific Raceways and 3 meets at Bremerton Raceways and anyone who is interested can attend and compete.  Gary says this kind of event would be useful to set up drag racing between various local car clubs.  Gary also mention their “Test & Tune” event that is open every Wednesday between 4:00pm and 10:00pm where you go out and make runs to test your driving and tune your car for maximum performance.
