Northwest Legends Club Meeting Minutes
(November 5, 2022)
MEETING OPENED:
Meeting called to order at 7:20pm by our President, Bill Nelson at Roundtable Pizza, in Burien, WA. A birthday party in the meeting room delayed our scheduled meeting time.
ATTENDANCE:
The meeting was attended by 10 members.
GUESTS & NEW MEMBERS:
No guests and no new members attended this Club Meeting.
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Bob Stevenson read a condensed version of the October club meeting minutes.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Tom Willett read the treasurer’s report.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Bill Nelson reported that there was no correspondence received recently.
GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
There was no guest speaker.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
There were no committee reports this month.
OLD BUSINESS:
Bill Nelson gave a review of the Christmas party details. It will be December 10th at Merrill Gardens in Burien. Cost for using the banquet room is $500. Ann Santella will make centerpieces and provide a cake. The room has a limit of 60 people comfortably, and 70 max. Timeline is: Setup: 4-5pm, 5-6pm happy hour, 6-6:30 dinner, 6:30-8pm gift exchange. Cost for each member is $50, with the club subsidizing the remainder.
NEW BUSINESS:
It was reported that Melinda Gale has returned home and is recovering.
2022 Officer Elections – The proposal to change the election date for officers from December to November was discussed and after some disagreement over the Bylaws revision process, the proposal was recinded. No new nominations were made, so the current slate of officers will remain in their current positions for 2023.
2023 Event schedule:
Tigers on the Columbia: May 25-28 in Wenatchee
Muscle Car Show at Griot’s: June 25
Muscle Car Meet at XXX: Aug 6
Picnic at Ted’s: Aug 19.
50/50 RAFFLE: There was no raffle this month.
SHOP TALK: Wally again talked about electric cooling fans and difficulties he has had with them and alternator sizing. Tom has his engine back and it runs great, but has has a few minor issues.
MEETING ADJOURNED:
The club’s business meeting adjourned at 8:10pm by our President, Bill Nelson. The location of the next club meeting was undecided. Ed note: as of this posting, the club meeting will be at 6:00pm at Amante Pizza and Pasta, 21020 84th Ave South, Kent, WA.
