COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Wally Santella reported that we had 31 pre-registrations for the Muscle Car Show at Griots and 46 the day of the show. This caused quite a lineup when the show first opened. Wally also reminded us that all of our sponsors that are so important to the success of our car shows are listed on the website and that we should support them whenever possible.

Wally also reported that there will be a Class W for resto-mod cars at the XXX Muscle Car Meet. The event plan has been sent to all volunteers who helped with this show last year and so far it looks like we are fully staffed. Show cost will be $25 for pre-registration and $30 for those that register the day of the show. Don McLaughlin volunteered to do the 50/50 raffle during the show. It was asked if Digi-Point could provide items for the raffle.

Ted Knapp reported that a contract has been signed with the Holiday Inn (the old Shilo Inn) for Tigers on the Columbia in 2024. He will follow up with GTOAA to see if they can provide a representative as this is the only regional GTOAA sanctioned event in the Western US and they should support it.

 OLD BUSINESS:

There was no old business to discuss.

NEW BUSINESS:

Wally Santella reported that there will be an organized group drive to Dufor, Oregon for Mark Neary’s celebration of life on July 22nd. Mark Neary passed away recently. He was a long time member of the Goat Herd of Oregon and was known for having spare parts for many years of GTOs. On July 22nd, Mark’s collection of parts will be available for sale.

Next month’s meeting will be held on August 12th, because of the Muscle Car Meet at XXX on Aug 6. It was decided that having a club meeting the night before a big event would be difficult to support.

2023 Event schedule

Muscle Car Meet at XXX: Aug 6

Picnic at Ted’s: Aug 19.

50/50 RAFFLE:   There was no 50/50 raffle.

SHOP TALK: Bill Nelson discussed his trip to the GTOAA Nationals and how the storm canceled the event. There is also a north end cruise-in this coming Saturday.

MEETING ADJOURNED:
The club’s business meeting adjourned at 7:16pm by our President, Bill Nelson. The next club meeting will be Saturday, August 12th at 6:00pm at Amante Pizza and Pasta, 21020 84th Ave South, Kent, WA.
