The meeting was attended by 14 members.

CORRESPONDENCE:
Bill Nelson reported that there was no correspondence received recently.
GUEST SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:
There was no guest speaker.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Northwest Muscle Car Meet – The Northwest Muscle Car Meet is scheduled for August 7th at the XXX Root Beer Drive-In in Issaquah. There are 44 cars pre-registered and we expect many more walk ups. Because of the concern over traffic due to the Seafair weekend, we will attempt to gather all ballots by noon and start the awards ceremony early, hopefully by 2:00.
OLD BUSINESS:
Bill Nelson reported that the Christmas party will be December 10th at Merrill Gardens in Burien. We will be using the same caterer as last year.
NEW BUSINESS:
Gary was admitted to Valley General hospital and is doing well.
Wally Santella reported that because of the GTOAA change that forced us to change to using an “anniversary date” for renewal of memberships instead of the calendar year has meant a change to GMAN. Of the 122 Active members in our club, 78 will still have an anniversary date of January 1st. The remaining 44 must have their anniversary date determined based on when they joined the GTOAA. All members will receive an automatic email 30 days prior to their anniversary date. Members will get a one month grace period with GTOAA to get their dues paid before their Legend magazine subscription expires.
Bill Nelson reported that the GTOAA contacted him about our club hosting the national convention in 2025. They will use their contractor to scout possible venues, and asked our club to provide any ideas we have for locations. The concours area must be covered and hold 100 cars. GTOAA takes care of making the large arrangements, which leaves the local club responsible for assisting with parking, registration, and excursions. There were 377 registrations this year with 245 cars. Net profit was $6500, of which $4000 went to the local club.
Event schedule:
August 27th – BBQ at Ted Knapp’s
The Firebird Club is planning a cruise starting at the XXX in issaquah on Aug 27th.
There is a car show in Kirkland August 14th at the waterfront.
Club Christmas party December 10th at Merrill Gardens.

SHOP TALK: No shop talk this month.
MEETING ADJOURNED:
